Welcome to Year 5!
This term our topic is It's a Revolution!
In English, we will be looking at non-chronological reports. We will be learning how to write in this style, using our language and sentence structures. We will also look at the techniques that are used in the 'Street Child' in order to appeal to the readers and enable them to imagine what it would have been like during the Victorian period.
In Maths, we will be focussing on shape, reflection and translation as well as Roman numerals. We will also be using problem solving in order to apply our knowledge. How much do you know about these areas of Maths so far?
In Science, our topic is Living things and Habitats. We will explore the different places where animals live and how they adapt to their surroundings. We will make predictions, explain our thoughts, and set up reliable and accurate investigations. Let's investigate together!
In Geography, we are learning about Rivers. Can you label the different parts of the river? Do you know any famous River names? We will discover the answers this term.
