Meryfield Music
At Meryfield we use the Charanga Primary Music curriculum. Using this scheme, all year groups have access to a library of songs and resources that we incorporate into our teaching. All children are catered for, from those who are beginning their journeys into learning an instrument to those who have yet to have an opportunity to do so. Additionally, we work with Mr Mitchell from Dragon of the North, a music specialist, who delivers a bespoke curriculum to our Year 1 - 6 pupils on a rolling basis. Each year group will have a term of lessons by Mr Mitchell. Mr Mitchell also coordinates our Year 6 band and our termly music concerts. We work closely with the other school in the Agora Learning Trust and attend trust wide music events.
