Chickens!

We are excited to share that we are exploring the possibility of introducing chickens to our school grounds as part of an enriching, hands-on learning experience for the children. Caring for chickens would provide wonderful opportunities to teach responsibility, animal welfare, sustainability, and where our food comes from. However, as we have no prior experience in keeping chickens, we would really value some guidance before moving forward. We would be very grateful to hear from any parents or carers who have experience keeping chickens and who might be willing to offer advice on housing, care, regulations, or general best practice.
