Welcome to Nursery!

 Our topic for this last half term is called ‘In the Garden’, where we will explore aspects of the outside environment. The children will have plenty of opportunities to deepen their understanding of minibeasts through hands on experiences, including observing African land snails and watching the butterfly lifecycle unfold with our own classroom caterpillars. We will also enjoy a special animal visit when Mrs Walk brings her snake in for the day!

In July will take part in our sponsored Nursery toddle – a lovely family event where the children can showcase their physical abilities by seeing how many laps of the daily mile track they can complete in 15 minutes.

Throughout the half term we will continue to encourage independent learning during our ‘Child Initiated Learning’ sessions, while also helping the children to prepare for their transition to Reception in September
